Recommended Spiritual books (part1)
4- “The Game of Life and How to Play it” By Florance Scovel Shinn This book is amazing; it is written by an artist and a teacher around 1925 in such a manner that anyone could understand. She combines biblical examples with real life stories of her many clients to explain the principles behind her successes, and how a positive attitude can help your prosperity, solve problems, and have better health. The following books are sequels to “The game of Life and how to play it” and they are also very good. They are small books of about 80 to 90 pages each. But some of the things she says will definitely stick in your mind like “Let god do the juggling”, meaning “Let god take care of the details”. So whenever I start to worry about something, I shake it out of my mind and say that. So these books help you use a different way of thinking. a- “The Secret Door to Success” By Florance Scovel Shinn b- “Your Word is Your Wand” By Florance Scovel Shinn c- “The Power of the Spoken Word” By Florance Scovel Shinn 5- “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy. This is a wonderful book it combines scientific facts and spirituality in combination with biblical quotes which gives the reader a better picture on how all of them are connected. The book may have a few spelling mistakes but the content of the book is priceless. So if you are more comfortable with the backup of scientific explanations then this would be a good book for you. 6- “Messages from Water and the Universe” By Masaru Emoto. A Japanese scientist who received a certification from the open international university as a doctor of alternative medicine. He conducted experiments flash freezing water then took pictures to show the before and after effect of the power of human thoughts, words, and prayers. The results are absolutely remarkable. Since the majority of our body mass is made out of water, how do you think this affects us on a personal basis?! |

7- “Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire” By Deepak Chopra MD. Dr. Chopra’s books have been published in more than thirty five languages. This book combines science and spirituality to demonstrate a different perspective on how we look at events that happens in our lives. The combination of his powerful insight of both medical profession, and spiritual awareness gives him a unique way of describing the spiritual universe.
8- “Happier than God” by Neale Donald Walsh. This book was a joy to read, I couldn’t put the book down; that is how good I found it. I was reluctant to read it at first because I was uncomfortable with the title; but I read it anyways, and I’m so glad I did. It changed the way I think and released any limitation thoughts I had. It makes you feel that god is a loving parent who doesn’t judge anyone period. Then I got very excited about his other book “The Complete Conversation with God.” It is three books in one. In this book he wrote a dialogue between himself and god. He would ask a question, and then god would answer. I found the first part of the book fascinating although argumental at some points, but good, then I came across the second part which was about world politics; this was a bit hard to swallow. I don’t care how saintly or non saintly politicians are; I could not get myself to continue reading about how god thinks that some named politicians are visionaries! Maybe they are or maybe they aren’t. Personally I think every one of us here on this planet is a visionary. Sorry to say this; politics and spirituality don’t mix. Maybe one day I will get myself to move past that but at this moment, I’m taking a break from the “Conversation with God” Book.
