Queensryche captured the essence of spiritual freedom in their song “Anybody listening”. It is a soul searching song, not only do the words have deep meaning, but they also make you think of how you should be an independent thinker. The music is just phenomenal; if you hear it once, you might as well add it onto your favorite list of songs. Let us look at the lyrics and examine the words;

There's more to life than what we have known
This describes how we all experience life. Most of us feel weighed down by rules, and social responsibilities imposed on us by others. Closing our eyes will disconnect us from the distractions and connect us with our inner peace. Only then we would realize that there is much more to life than what we can see.

Living lies I knew were wrong inside
I've just begun to see the light
Other people try to Influence and give misleading information, not listening to your inner guidance or pay attention to how it makes you feel inside, would only lead you to the wrong path. By the time you find out the truth, you have wasted most of your life living a lie.

All of us have dreams, and we reach one point of our lives where we need to make tough decisions. Feeling pressured by circumstances and people, sometimes rush us into making a rash decision while sacrificing who, or what we love most.

Stepping into the situation you created for yourself, you realize the struggle with criticism, judgement and the competition that keeps on trying to rob you from your opportunity. Your eagerness to continue stops; and people become disinterested. (Have you noticed when you are already successful everyone have advice to offer you, but no one cares when you are not successful?!)

Is there anyone that sees what's going on?
Asking if anybody is really listening, because people don’t really pay attention to what others are trying to say, nor do they seem to know the truth of what is going on in the world! (You need to hear or see things from different perspectives, because listening to one side of the story and not the other side is just half the truth and not the full truth).

Do not believe everything you are told (when the media tries to sell you swamp land in paradise, don’t buy it!) Think for yourself and everything becomes clear to you. There would be no more walls to block your clear vision.

Many individuals are not too enthusiastic to comeback and live the same life again, because the majority of people in the world are focused on the negative behaviour than the positive ones. This gives the feeling of being helpless to change the world’s perception.

Your mind is like a city. You have been building it since birth with all the information you have acquired.
