The balance between intellect and art
In our present social behaviour, the intellectual side of our physical existence have taken presidency over our artistic abilities. Every child is born with an artistic capability, but unless it is encouraged and nurtured it will stay in its infancy.    

If you take a look at most artists, it is not hard to see the profound difference of how they look at life in comparison to those who are more analytical. Artists tend to be calmer, gentler, and exhibit a general understanding to everything around them, while the analytics are more focused on the results, accuracy and achievements.  
Schools in general tend to favor left-brain model of teachings, while the right-brain thinking is mostly ignored. The left-brain focus on logical thinking, analysis, sequential, rational, objectiveness and accuracy while the right-brain on the other hand focus on aesthetics, feeling, intuitiveness, subjectivity, and creativity.

The yin and yang balance each other
If we focus the attention on one more than the other there will be an imbalance. This imbalance not only affects this individual’s life, but it also affects society as a whole. Now we have a large number of people who use more of one side of their brain instead of both or having some right side thinkers balancing the left side thinkers.

When your mind is balanced so will your life
Spirituality is connected to feeling, intuition, creativity, and imagination. This concludes that nurturing the artistic side of your brain will bring you closer to understand and utilize your spirituality on a higher level. But everyone’s focus in society is on monetary gains, encouraged by the intellectuals to create more of themselves. In order for more people to find their spirituality, society as a whole must encourage the arts, and value it just as much as the analytic. For without one the other is incomplete. Just like yin and yang you need one to balance the other.
The way art is being controlled by a small number of people who dictates to everyone what art is and what art isn’t is wrong. They have made it difficult for many great artists to be recognized while condemning the artistic market to failure. It is the one way of art to rule them all. How many artists do you know made a lot of money, other than those who belong to this small group? Everyone knows art does not make money, therefore everyone encourages their children to focus on the intellect, for the intellect is the money earner not the arts. 
Society must restore balance between the arts and the analytics by helping children find their artistic abilities. Life is a diverse possibility without the inclusion of different ideas no one will advance further and people will get stuck repeating themselves while time moves forward.
